In 2024, Lena was tapped to lead a college internship program for students majoring in journalism, communication, and the digital arts in collaboration with Miles Of Giving Foundation and founder Thomas Miles. The program is limited to undergraduate and graduate students ages 18 to 24 and pulls top students from media programs across the country together into a new cohort every semester.

Lena crafted the curriculum for the program and students receive 1 to 3 college credits depending on their customized track. She believes giving back helps to strengthen communities and the future of our nation’s youth.
